Background:
Wesley Methodist Primary School is a local authority controlled day school catering for both infant and junior children between the ages of four and 11+, in a purpose-built modern building. The school is situated less than a mile north of Radcliffe town centre. The school provides many and varied extra-curricular activities such as football, netball, gymnastics, cross-country, running, athletics, cricket, rounders, swimming, art and craft, science and technology, chess, recorders, choir, guitar, brass and woodwind groups. The school has a great sporting tradition and has had considerable success in recent years. The school is proud of its musical provision. Every class has an hour's lesson per week from a specialist music teacher. Children in all classes have opportunity to go on class outings and educational visits, usually in the summer term. The school is a happy and friendly place based on Christian Methodist ethos.
