Background:
The school is housed in a converted secondary school built in 1937. Set in a conservation area, it offers a large field and successfully competes in football and athletics. The school also has a close association with the nearby Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital. Pupils regularly raise money for charities such as RNLI, British Legion, Childrens Society and Diabetes Research. For a small charge, children can attend a breakfast club from 7.50am to 9am and an after-school club from 3.15pm to 5.30.
