St Ambrose Barlow School is a Roman Catholic Primary School for pupils' between the age of four and 11. There are currently 205 pupils' on roll. The school has voluntary aided status within the Archdiocese of Liverpool. The composition of the governing body reflects the importance that the church places on its role in education. The school is in the relatively new parish of St Ambrose Barlow. The most recent phase of the school building was completed this year in 2004. The building provides a bright, modern, supportive learning environment for its pupils' and is well equipped to provide stimulating learning experiences such as football training including matches and tournaments, gymnastic club, book fair reading support, mathematics club and French club. These take place from time to time during the school year. They are an integral part of the school's curriculum.
