Background:
Our Lady of Lourdes School was opened in September 1964. It has seven classrooms, an ICT suite and a main hall. There is a lovely nursery on site, which was built 10 years after the main school and was recently almost fully refurbished. The school has large playing areas and access to extensive grassland. A wide choice of extra-curricular school clubs is always on offer. Children have opportunities to enjoy a range of sporting activities such as netball, football, athletics, aerobics and dance. The school has strong links with the parish and wider community. The school aims to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in which pupils are encouraged to develop the skills, knowledge and attitude, which will enable them to fulfil a truly Christian role in society.
