Park View is a primary school situated in Prestwich, to the south of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury. It was opened in 1932 and has a distinguished tradition of serving the local community. The school is set in extensive grounds and has seen major development in recent years. The main building contains a newly equipped, modern library, ICT suite, music room and hall. Park View's sporting facilities include a gymnasium, playing field and three hard play areas. The playing field is marked for football, rounders, cricket and athletics as is seasonally appropriate. A major hard play area is permanently marked with two netball courts and a five-a-side football pitch. The school aims to provide a stable, secure and caring community where each individual is valued and shares responsibilities.
