Lower Kersal Community Primary School was opened in 1929 and is set in extensive grounds with a large central garden attractively planted with trees and roses. There are three playgrounds and a large playing field. The school has core subjects including English, mathematics and science and foundation subjects including information and communication technology, religious education, history, geography, music, art and design, physical education and technology. The school has a wide range of extra-curricular activities including soccer, rounders, netball, information and communication club, dance club, music, textile art club, art club, gardening and drama. The school aims to provide a safe environment, which nurtures a love of learning and for life itself and which enables each person to have increased aspirations.
