Background:
Acre Hall Primary School was formed by amalgamation of the former Wellacre Infant and Wellacre Junior schools which were founded in 1925 as two separate establishments on a linked site. The light, airy school buildings are on an open, green field site bordering onto council playing fields. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include football, rugby, badminton, rounders, drama, chess and a dance club. The school aims to develop a secure and welcoming environment, which is designed to stimulate interest and encourage learning.
